Description
ColorSplash lets you quickly and easily give photos a dramatic look by converting them to black and white, while keeping your chosen details in color. This effect draws the viewers' attention to the colored areas, creating striking images.
*** Winner of the 2009 Best Photo Manipulation App Award ***
The intuitive and responsive multi-touch user interface makes ColorSplash amazingly easy and fun to use. Use your finger as a brush to "paint" sections of your image black and white, or to bring back the original color. Zooming in and out using the two-finger pinching gesture allows you to work on details with pixel-accuracy.
Features:
- Video tutorials and detailed written instructions will have you editing your images in minutes.
- Share your edited images on Facebook, Flickr or Twitter.
- Save multiple sessions to resume your work later.
- Undo any number of accidental brush strokes.
- An alternative view mode highlights the regions that will remain in color with a red tint. This makes it easier to see and adjust the boundaries between color and black & white regions.

- Hide the toolbars in full screen mode.

Fabulous ability, low cost
I almost never give 5 stars to anything but this program gets them: without question, my favorite app on the iPhone. The cool effects you can do in minutes (when I struggled for years trying to learn enough PhotoShop to do half as much) is just mind-boggling, and you will hear raves from your friends for your ColorSplashed pictures. Instant drama!
The interface is the best of any photo program I've used, and the developer uses video to show you instantly how to get the most out of his app. I hope others are looking at this application as the way it should be done. Thanks again for ColorSplash!
Resolution Problem - Solution
Hello all,
I have noticed the number of people responding with comments about the bad resolution on some images. I have found a way to work around it by taping on the completed photo making the top and bottom menu bars disapear and then taking a screen shot by holding the home button and pushing the sleep button. The screen will flash and make a camera sound. This photo will now show up in your photos the exact way it was displayed in color splash.
Love It, but there's a problem :(
I absolutely love this app! Perfect idea and super easy to use. Look forward to seeing more apps from you!
Update: I had to give this 4 stars because I just realized that the application saves the photos at lower resolutions. If u fix this, I will give 5 stars. I want to me able to print them and at the low resolution I can't.
