Paying for iPhone 3.0 feature Copy & Paste to work with 1PW?
Basically this is the exact same app as the standard version except that OS upgrade (3.0) for the iPhone and iPod Touch that just came out isn't allowed to work with the app unless you pay Agile more money so they can allow you to use iPhones clipboard. Until I see some features on this app that make it worth the upgrade to Pro, I will not rate this app any better.
Charged for OS 3 compliance?
I love 1Password, but I'm a little annoyed at being charged for an upgrade to the OS 3 version. Then I read they'll update the original app later. So I got early adopter taxed. =( that's a jerk move, guys.
almost perfect
This software has saved me with our recent upgrade of all passwords across our whole system. I would never be able to remember the 50 or so passwords that I have to walk around and enter and can't think of a more secure manner to handle them. Sync with the Mac is awesome so they're always with me.
That being said, here are my observations...
I understand that safari on the iphone doesn't allow plug-ins so it can't just auto-fill websites in the real safari, but I'd love that feature as soon as they allow it...
The lock code is great and simple enough, but the master password should have a timeout that is stored on the device so that if you have to copy a password / open safari / use safari and then return to the 1password application it won't lock the master password right away. Currently, every time you close and re-open the program it locks the master password, which is inherently much harder to enter than the passcode, but also much more secure.
If using the built in 1Password browser it should allow you to copy and paste both the username and password when choosing display login.
The password generator should allow the same options that the main program has as I've tried using it to help employees set-up their log-ins. This means that it should allow the options for choosing phonetically easier passwords and passwords with special characters. On that note there should be the option to type in which special characters to use for both the phone and desktop app.
The password generator should not pick another password when you lift up your finger as there have been numerous times when I've seen one that would be ok to remember and as soon as I lift my finger it generates a new one and we've permanently lost that one.
That would be it for now.... Good product though!
