Crashes after every level
This program completely shuts down. After every level. I'm getting tired of seeing the intro splash screens every time I want to play a new level. Unacceptable.
good game, controls good too, no crashes
i don't usually review anything, unless i see bad reviews that are unjustified. there's nothing wrong with the controls on this game... as a past reviewer mentioned, you tap the bug to change ball colors, and you tap for where you want the marble to go. like all such games, you need to tap a little in advance of where you want the marble to go, to account for the time it'll take in getting there. the colors are bright and easy to see even at the lowest color setting, so no problem there either. and for people with crashes, restart or reset your device to clear all the crap out of memory... it's not this game that's causing it, many applications leave vestiges in memory and the device just runs out of steam if it's not cleared once in a while. and now for the good bits... bugs are awesome! love the way each little marble bug is an actual bug rolling along, spots and all... and those magic bugs with their antennae out that clear away so many marbles at a time... i hadn't seen that before! :) and the backgrounds, along with the little map of the area, are beautifully thought out and rendered. worth more than it's sale price of 99cents, i pity developers the time they spend on these apps with people so unwilling to pay for software even a quarter of what they'd pay for a cup of coffee (maybe coffee is even more than $4 these days... i just buy apps, not coffee, better for the economy!)
Great, but flawed...
While this game is incredibly faithful to the original (which is one of the most clever games out there), this version is flawed by painfully slow game play at the higher levels, such as 11-5 and 12-5. As more "bugs" are loaded on the screen, the response time slows down and the game becomes unresponsive. It can take 2 or 3 taps to fire a shot. By that time, your target has moved and the shot is worthless. In a game where you're playing against time, this is deadly. It's frustrating, to say the least. Fix this, and it becomes a 5-star game.
Also, showing the E-X-T-R-A letters under Tumble also blocks your line of sight when you're aiming toward the bottom of the screen. This, however, is a minor quibble.
The game is still very enjoyable, but that slow response at the higher levels really needs to be looked at.
