The Lightness of Being is a set of pieces from Anugama's discography, plus five new pieces. They are all designed specifically for meditation and relaxation. His footnote states: "The Lightness of Being, relaxing into a silent pool of contentment, free from past, present, and future." This is seriously psychoactive music — it has holistic powers and strength. Anugama has tried and true methods and he sticks to them. He builds his atmospheres from a low drone, adding gentle melodies and nature sounds to create smooth soundscapes. These pieces fit together seamlessly. This is an excellent starting point for those new to Anugama's music. It will appeal to fans of Jonathan Goldman, Riley Lee, Klaus Wiese, Crystal Voices, and Life in Balance.

Mahalo Anugama
Amazing Breath Giving Composition
by Dr. BradI found Anugama's musical expression on this release to be greater than the sum. Greater than the sum of the many artist's works I have listened to and/or own. I will admit my only recent acquaintance with this genre of music so I may have much to learn. On the other hand, I experienced, before knowing the genre or intent of this music, an overpowering release of calmness within my mind and body. It was so moving I immediately interrupted the many other stimuli I routinely enjoy. Video, print and conversation-with others and most importantly, within myself-were all put on hold while I witnessed my heart rate smooth and steady in pace. My breathing became intoxicatingly deep and luscious.
Simply beautiful.
