Album Review
This teenage R&B singer hit the Top Ten late in 1994 with "I Wanna Be Down," a representative track from her solid debut album. Brandy knows her way around a hip-hop beat, layering tender-tough vocals over spare arrangements like a lower-key Janet Jackson or a more stripped-down Mary J. Blige. Good songs and crisp production make Brandy a moody, moving success.

Good Stuff....
Listening to this album brings back memories of the good ol' days back in middle school. I listened to it sooo many times that the disc was left scratched and useless. I was so glad to find this album on iTunes.I thought about buying only a few tracks from it, but then realized that nothing less than the entire album would be enough. I can't beleive it took me this long to replace it.....
This cd is OLD SCHOOL!!!
Wow! This cd is okay. It established her as a singer but kind of like Kelly Clarkson moved from POP to POP/ROCK Brandy would untimately create a more r&b pop sound than this urban r&b she started out with. Her voice was shaky at best starting out but hey she was like what, 14? She was nowhere near the master melisma singer she is now. The songs were well crafted for their time and I think back fondly on them. Notable tracks were the only ones released, everything else was SERIOUS FILLER. BABY, BEST FRIEND, I WANNA BE DOWN, and BROKENHEARTED are the singles to buy.

Also love this in addition to Never Say Never. They are her best albums. Makes you wanna rock and get down, especially when in the mood to listen to 90s hits and classics.
