Calming

I hope more people will start listening to Telemetry Orchestra, some of the best music I've heard in awhile. And I hope they come out with more albums :)

True to Form

Telemetry Orchestra has remained true to form- even though they recently added the vocals. I have been following them for about seven years since first hearing them on Triple J in Hobart on holiday (I live in the US).

There are some slow ones here- Flicker, Face It Now, Inside (Watching), and to some extent, Miles Away. They are pleasant and serve as bridges between the catchier songs. My outright favorites are Hole In The Roof, Shine, and Pimlico. These three stand side-by-side with my favorites from their other works.

Telemetry Orchestra have always been good songwriters. With the addition of the vocals, they have begun crafting more pop songs, but that isn't a bad thing. These songs are fresh and stand up to repeated listens. I do not tire of their older songs, and still immensely enjoy listening to Children Stay Free, their previous vocal effort, and Live Better Electrically, their electronic album. This is a great one to add to the collection.

Great groovy fun

Hooray for Frederator!
This stuff is even better than the songs on "Children Stay Free." Spacey, relaxing...even a bit more up-tempo. "Pimlico" sounds like a morning romp with its catchy hook and minimalist vocals. Never irrelevant or boring, Telemetry Orchestra deserves a lot more recognition in the 'States. Fine work, indeed.
