Heartbeats Video
Heartbeats is a great song with a great music video to go with it. Unfortunately, the video is missing from the iTunes library at this time. If you like the video or would like to see it on iTunes, five star this review. (I'd also like to see the José González cover as well, good video).
Impish, but with a point
Deep Cuts, on first impression, cuts a distinctly mischievous figure: the playful impishness of tracks such as Pass This On and Got 2 Let U coupled with the positively roguish songs You Take My Breath Away and Handy Man make this album a pleasing antidote to the enforced correctness of daily life and to the more solemn (to say the least) music out there.
If you listen closely to some of the tracks on Deep Cuts, you will inevitably find some meaning hidden behind the playful irony of the album’s sound. A good example of this hidden depth is Rock Classics, which, behind its nonchalant and ironic façade, hides a distinctly sick-at-heart view on life: a mentality that you will find throughout The Knife’s work: from Their debut: The Knife, to Silent Shout, The Knife’s latest release.
Deep Cuts also, from a musical point of view, represents a turning point in The Knife’s sound: it signifies a departure from the rather immature sound explored in their debut, as well as establishing, however subtly, a darker sound and mentality: Deep Cuts is a perfect precursor to Silent Shout.

First, I would like to say that "Heartbeats" was written by The Knife and not Jose Gonzalez. Their songs Heartbeats, Pass This On, You Take My Breath Away, Is It Medicine, You Make Me Like Charity, and Got 2 Let U are quick to love. Very comical and talented band.
