Horrible!
I will admit that I truly distain compilations, but this one has taken the head off of the idea of compilations. Having only a couple of minutes from each work and cutting off only the most famous parts of the piece is a bad idea. Like the Ode to Joy finale from Beethoven's ninth - it's famous because of the build-up to it in the score. Cutting just that off ruins the piece.The selections aren't that great, and only some of the performances are good. If you have to get a compilation for your classical, at least go with "the 50 most essential classical pieces" - at least the choices are not cut down to a smidgen of what they should be.

The selections are just enough of each piece to whet your whistle and
then onto the next selection. It listed some of my favorite program music
but if you, like I, know what follows after the selection they include and your
mind is expecting the next part, it is disturbing to hear something
totally different pop on. The quality is OK, not exceptional.
Portions
Clips from classical pieces are not representive of those pieces. My Mother bought me a collection like this when I was a teen-ager. It provided almost no contextual understanding of the pieces that I went on to learn in depth later.
If you are new to classical music, first imagine that the instrumental music is a foreign language made up of emotion without words. What is each piece trying to say?
