A Very Rare Case Indeed...
To be completely frank, I don't like the song "Umbrella" at all. Rihanna's nasal voice lingers on the same pattern of notes for the entire song, and what's up with the "eh, eh, eh's"?
Nevertheless, I love this mix... The 80's-esque beat is catchy, the synths add a great depth, and all of the normally annoying things Rihanna does with her voice sound a lot better in the realm of techno. The mix keeps the song from stomping around at a pace that's too slow and noisy.
Just goes to show you, the mix isn't always worse than the original.
