Album Review

Lest anyone cast them aside as just another pop-punk outfit, Anberlin's surprisingly deep collection of B sides and rarities is a treasure of its own. They distance themselves from the pack with a mix of acoustic versions of some of their more popular hits and covers from some of their '80s favorites like the Smiths, Depeche Mode, and When in Rome. This is anything but filler. The acoustic setting fits their sound shockingly well, and the album is more cohesive than you might expect, as in the new versions of "Cadence" and "Dismantle. Repair.," for example. A hidden bonus track, an electronic version of "Glass to the Arson," is a treat for fans.

Hands down the best cover to a lot of great songs

I don't care about their religion, they are just a great band band with a lot of talent. 'Enjoy the Silence' is one of my favorite DM songs and they did a better job that Failure did back in 1998. They alos do a fantastic job with 'The Promise' by When in Rome.

Stephen Christian is my Hero!!!!! :)

I swear if you don't like this album something must be wrong with you (kidding!). How can you NOT love their covers of "Enjoy the Silence", "Creep", or even "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out" by Stephen's heroes, the Smiths?!?!?! Amazing, my friends. Just so amazing. p.s. Want MORE Anberlin? (I mean, who wouldn't?) Buy their AP Podcast. Trust me. :)

Great covers of "Enjoy the Silence" and "Creep"

And to those up in arms over the lyric "What the hell am I doing here?", you're aware that the original lyrics include the lines "so f-ing special" right? I can only imagine what the outcries would have been had he chosen not to replace the f-bomb with the word "very"...
