Pop Perfection. Kylie is back...please...she never left.

So the release of this album has been through hell. First it was released back in November of 2007 everywhere in the world BUT the U.S. We did see some light when iTunes put the album up briefly in February but took it down until its official release for today! (April 1st) Even though I have had the album for almost 6 months now, I still love it just as much.

This album is pop perfection. Kylie could not have created a more perfect "comeback" album than this beautifully crafted tenth studio album. Callaborators such as Calvin Harris and the Freemasons help make the album have some great standouts. The only misses on this album might be the tracks "Stars" and/or "Cosmic", which have tended by now to be the lesser favorites among fans of the album. But it does not mean they are not liked...they just take a few listens to get used to.

"In My Arms" will always be one of my favorite songs in the entire world. Thankfully, the videos for that track as well as for "Wow" and "2 Hearts" have been available for us for sometime now.

In addition, we once again treated the iTunes exclusive track "Magnetic Electric" however we are lacking the other iTunes bonus; that being the ballad "White Diamond" like many other countries recieved. Instead we get the "All I See" bonus version with rapper MIMS...right, it is such a 'must-have" (Personally, it sort of ruins the song for me, but the original version is too good to make me hate it completely. Don't forget the other exclusive tracks "Rippin Up the Disco" which is available only when inserting the actual CD into a computer and downloading it from kylie.com as well as the the international tracks "King or Queen" and "I Don't Know What It Is" > all three tracks are DEFINITELY worth finding.

The "Wow" and "In My Arms" single released elsewhere in the world have also spawned three new B-sides:
- Cherry Bomb
- Do It Again
- Carried Away
All of them good, however the order they are listed above are the order of how I favor them. I encourage fans of this album to hunt those down. Cherry Bomb is a more sensual electric track while the latter are just a little more poppy and upbeat.

In conclusion, this album is genious and was long overdue in this county. I am certain it will sell very well in this country due to the dance genre making a huge comback in the U.S. and this album fits very well into the club scene today. It is everything you could ask for in a pop CD and is Kylie taking a more electronic and futuristic path.
Love you Kylie.

1.) 2 Hearts - Great lead single. Reminiscent of a Goldfrapp - "Supernature" track
2.) Like a Drug - The beat it irresistable. <3
3.) In My Arms - Best song on the album and could very well be my favorite song of all time.
4.) Speakerphone - Sexy and sultry. Bloodshy & Avant's production is well layered.
5.) Sensitized - Ok...took me a while to get into. But it is a very hot and hippe-sounding song. Almost reminiscent of her "Impossible Princess" days
6.) Heart Beat Rock - Calm but fun. Very poppy.
7.) The One - Second favorite track on the album. Gorgeous beat with beautiful vocals.
8.) No More Rain - Slow, reflective, and dreamy. Love it.
9.) All I See - Also took a few listens to like, but once it stuck...it DEF stuck. Beautiful.
10.) Stars - Just good.
11.) Wow - New wave disco is here! Absolutely stunning.
12.) Nu-di-ty - 3rd favorite. Some people hate it, I absolutely love it.
13.) Cosmic - Ballad...
14.) Magnetic Electric - Fantastic. Very sing-a-long
15.) All I See (w/MIMS) - eh, you had to do this America...

Let The Steam Rise In The Spotlight, Alright, Alright

Kylie Minogue is finally back, after having to deal with cancer and also touring right afterward. A strong woman needs a strong album, and here it is. Some of the tracks are about her going through treatments for cancer, and some are just to get your butt on the dancefloor until 2. A.M. Whether you like it or not, the album's extremely catchy. Kylie is still in her route of Dance/Pop for 'X'.

All the upbeat tracks have outstanding beats and lyrics. "In My Arms" services as a second single, slash third single (Hard to understand since it wasn't released in central Europe, but all around it) and it's honestly one of the best songs off the album, with the rave-ish beat and the mezmerizing vocals. "Heart Beat Rock" sounds like it could've been a Justin track, and it's like beat-boxing and Kylie works well on it. Another favorite, "The One" should really become the next single in the U.S, granted the fact that "All I See" is the first single, this would be a great follow-up, beat and lyrics are still on point. Second favorite song on the album, "Stars" really makes you feel like your watching stars while your listening, it's just uplifting and something different, which makes it stand-out. "Wow" is blowing up in the U.K! The track is pretty much 'wow', only thing I'd take out a little is the constant 'wowowowow' during the chorus, just a little too much for me. "Nu-di-ty" is another favorite song, with the blasting horn beat and the fast-paced beat that makes your whole body want to have dancing spasms.

The mid-tempos are quite the party-starters too. "2 Hearts" is a nice little introduction the album, but the only problem I have is that with all the dance music on the album, why have a somewhat showgirl theme? (And Yes, I know her one tour was called Showgirl). My favorite track, "Like a Drug" has got to be one of the most pleasing songs I've heard in a while, it's just pop perfection as it's best. "Speakerphone" is like a dark, dance track in which Kylie morphs her voice to sound like a radio, and it's just fierce and sexy. Many people may not like this track, but "Sensitized" is a great song, the melody may pale out a bit, but the vocals and lyrics are still good. One of the breast cancer recovery songs, "No More Rain" is all about no being down anymore, and looking on the bright side that she is still alive and able to sing.

The ballads are so interesting, I could listen to them for a long time. "All I See", as I said before, best ballad on the album, with all the dance tracks, you need to take a break somewhere, and this song is perfect with it's 'R&B' sound, and her claiming that she can only see the one she loves. "Cosmic" is also about her awakening from breast cancer, and that she feels brand new and that's she finally had woken up from a dream, another brilliant song. "All I See", featuring Mims, actually puts a twist on an already great song, and even though it's a rapper, it works.

All in all, Kylie made a great tenth album, hopefully more great albums in the future. The only track I really didn't like was "Magnetic Electric", it's just annoying to me, and I would have preferred "White Diamond" or "Rippin' Up the Disco" as a bonus. 9.5/10 A.

Pure pop perfection!

Finally, it is here! This album is one of Kylie's best! These songs will have you jamming. Stellar tracks like Like A Drug, In My Arms, Speakerphone, The One, All I See, Wow, Nu-Di-Ty, and Magnetic Electric will remind you why Kylie has endured for 20 years.
