Album Review

Third Day's third album, Time, delivers more of their Southern rock-influenced Christian music, and rootsy ballads like "I Have Always Loved You" and "Took My Place" broaden the band's sonic palette.

Best Album of their career

by wintc24

This is by far the best album of Third Day's career thus far, and sadly so far it has been the last record that has been great. I love Third Day and have seen them live 20 times and their music got me through a tough place in my life in 2000. The first three albums were lyrically and rhythimically genius. They wrote music that meant something and they staid true to their southern rock roots. Since the first Offering Disc (which was partly good because of the live music from the first few records) they have tried to be too mainstream and have written too many worship songs. Now don't get me wrong worship songs are great, but it is not Third Day's forte. I miss the grit and vunerability of the first few records such as this. It is a great mix of upbeat and worship, along with the southern roots that have made them great. It may sound suprising from this review, but this album is worth the money, and so is the bus album (album with the big bus) and Conspiracy No. 5. God bless!

Not as consistently good as the first album, but I would recommend songs #1, 5, 6, & 10.
