THE NEW REGIME WILL ROCK YOU!
by drew_idFrom start to finish, New Regime's debut album 'Coup' exhibits all the necessary elements to rock your freakin' face off. Composed and performed entirely by its auteur, Ilan Rubin (drummer for Nine Inch Nails), Coup has all the right themes: social disorder, psychological unrest, and a call to arms (better described as improvement through action). Amazing songwriting, seamless melodies, killer production value, this album will give you just the right dose of 'hell ya!' and make you wonder when The New Regime is coming to an arena near you!
Something New and Exciting
by WhatToDoThis record was recommended to me by someone in the music industry and I have to say I'm not dissapointed. It's really not "new", since it draws from a few noteable influences, but, by today's standards and what's happening in music at the moment; this is truly exciting. The album seems to carry a reucrring theme, but each song is has its own individuality. I would have to say that "Order Restored", "Take Control" and "Time Erase" stand out as the album's clear winners, but there isn't a weak song on the record. If you're looking for cookie-cutter music to follow what's popular, then don't buy this album. But, if your looking for something "new" and refreshing, then, by all means download it and enjoy it. These songs could quite possibly set the standards by which music will be judged in the future. And when you consider that all the music was composed and performed by one individual, it becomes all the more impressive. I found this out after doing a little research on the web. Enjoy!!
Very Impressive
by UPandBIlan Rubin has really set the new standard for solo albums. He wrote and recorded everything on this album, and his talent shines in every song. The drums, bass, guitars, piano and vocals are all amazing. Each song is great...I can't find a bad song on the album. Each song is different, too. They all fit an over-arching theme, yet it's not at all repetitive. That's something that most bands seem to have trouble grasping. The only bad thing I can think of is that...well it ends lol.. This album should keep you coming back for a long, long time.
