iTunes Review
Back in the ‘80's young vampires had it pretty good when it came to identifying with music. England provided tunes in spades with the likes of Bauhaus, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Dead Can Dance, and of course there was no band better for flipping dyed-black bangs out of one's eyes than The Cure. Moving forward, the outstanding 2008 soundtrack to Twilight proved that in the 21st century there is indeed a viable music market for pubescent bloodsuckers in love. The opening "Supermassive Black Hole" by Muse shows that just because you're dark and melancholic doesn't mean that you can't be stylishly funky. But it's the Black Ghosts who truly set the tone with the hip and haunting "Full Moon," a folky strum-n-bass number overflowing with elegant sweeping cellos and violas. And although Linkin Park's melodramatic "Leave Out All the Rest" and Paramore's overly emotive "I Caught Myself" might be better suited for One Tree Hill, Perry Farrell and Collective Soul's infectious contributions remind us that vampires like dancing too. Iron & Wine's "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" is easily the prettiest song here.

Surprisingly good
by Gulbis Rocks!I usually don't like these types of songs, but I liked every one of the songs on here. And for each song, it brings me back to the scene in the movie, which doesn't happen very often. I usually don't remember the songs in the movies, but I did for this one. I think it was because each song fit so perfectly with each scene. Although I agree the river flows in you? one should have been Bella's lullaby, the one in the movie is still great. I was looking forward to New Moon's soundtrack after this Twilight one, but New Moon just disappointed. I didn't remember any songs, and none of them appealed to me. But this Twilight soundtrack is one of my faves. Lots of awesome songs in here!
