hmmm...

ok, first off, i listened to the entire song, not just the 30 second preview. it sounds better than "you better pray" (sorry guys, but i really didnt like that single). "pen & paper" is catchy, and the lyrics are nicely written (ex:"you like the way that people stare at you, now you look so fake, just thought that you should know, and you're all the same, and when the curtain drops down, you'll be replaced by something typical"). im sure *almost* everyone can relate to the lyrics or have been in/seen a friend in a situation similar to what the lyrics are.
but...there's barely any emotion. yes, it is nicely written and catchy, but it could have been better if the band had put more emotion into the song. and yes i know there will never be a song like "face down" from these guys again (incredible song). i hope this band doesnt take the "hey lets just release new songs for the money!" path in the music industry (or i hope their record label doesnt force them to take that path). i dont want to see one of my favorite bands turn into sell outs.
anyways, overall: not bad, its a whole lot better if you compare it to their previous single. good lyrics, nice beat, catchy....but it's "dry".

I dont Kno

i dont think this new album will be even near as good as the first.

TRJA keeps it alive

After their first album, we were all anxious to see where they would go next. Their single, you better pray, is great, and they have come out with another. Needless to say, this one is great as well. TRJA has broken onto the scene, and their next album will prove they are here to stay, if it continues the sound demonstrated on this single.

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '00s

Sprinkling their impassioned brand of alternative rock with touches of screamo, pop-punk, and metal, the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus was originally born in 2003 in Middleburg, Florida. After writing and rehearsing for 18 months with no real intentions of either performing or recording, the bandmembers were urged by several friends to pursue their music seriously. This encouragement led the guys to book themselves several local shows, much to the quick embracement of their hometown scene. As the buzz grew,...
