Now I've heard everything
by Angel_BearI'm just starting to get into Pirate-core when iTunes recommeneded me this album. Now c'mon...rapping pirates? I checked it out anyway because I just KNEW it was gonna be horrible, and I have a low tolerance for Hip Hop. However, it's been a good week now since then, and all three of Cap'n Dan's albums are in heavy rotation in my iPod. Can't stop listening to this, and if you're into pirates or open minded, you won't be disappointed. Favorite songs for me: Drunken Sailor, That's How We Row, Chests O' Plenty, Ship 2 Ship...screw it, it's the whole album; I love it all.
Surprisingly good
by SxSzwastI expected this to be a novelty only, but it really isn't - this has serious musical merit. It's clear that the Scurvy Crew understands the nuance of hip hop beat structures, and are actually very talented musicians. The interplay between Capt. Dan and 'Admirality' makes this album.
Yar! Yar! Yar! Yar!
by grendel_zI too caught Captain Dan on The Awful Show. They wre messing with the crazy Russian over the phone. I can see where Captain Dan got his fricken' mad rhymes from. He is a damn quick thinker on his feet. That leads to some of the best rhymes on the Seven Seas. Captian Dan, don't ever stop the mad pirate beats, ever. On payday I'm getting the other two albums and looking forward for anything else he puts out.
