I wasn't always the biggest fan but I grew up on this album. As an adult the thing I love about Nina is that she always had something meaningful to say. Just rich lyrics with her heart written in every note. This isn't the best album she ever did but "To be Young, Gifted and Black" was everything in my house and helped to shape my image of myself growing up as a Black girl in the 70's and 80's. I know you don't get the intro without the whole album, but like the previous reviewer said it's cheaper to buy these songs individually.
