iTunes Review
Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ billowing cloud of avant-rock is invaded here by a clutch of disco synths, exploring new areas of tempo, personality and atmosphere for this New York art-punk trio. Guitarist Nick Zinner steers the course with imaginative guitar work, drummer Brian Chase probably hasn’t had this much fun drumming on a record before, and singer Karen O wraps herself in electrical-taped chiffon for disco drag-outs “Zero,” “Heads Will Roll” and “Dragon Queen.” Production from David Sitek (TV On the Radio) and Nick Launay ensure It’s Blitz! is a contemporary affair. The Deluxe Edition includes bonus acoustic versions of “Soft Shock,” “Skeletons,” “Hysteric,” and “Runaway,” plus iTunes exclusive track “Faces.”

A MasterWork !!!
by rockyThis album is by far their strongest effort. Sincere and yet Tough and Karen O Sounds her best and the production is on point how ever i do feel with this album cover and lead single i thought this album would have more dance tracks
Not for me.
by abphotoI love The Yeah Yeah Yeah's and various other projects with Karen O, But I really don't like this album. To me it sounds a lot like Bjork (Shame and Fortune -> Army of Me, Soft Shock -> Big Time Sensuality, Skeletons -> It's not up to you, etc...). I whole heartedly support going in a new direction, but this isn't new. It seems like they are jumping on a heavily loaded down "trendy disco synth" bandwagon (Ghostland, Architecture, Animal Collective).
I really like the acoustic tracks though and strongly recommend them.
I was thinking Missing Persons also.
by sowndsurfrCheck out Missing Persons greatest hits. They weren't that good but they had that nostalgic New Wave 80's sound thats worth collecting some of their pop hits("Words","Destination Unknown","Walking In L.A.")
