Powerful New Album !
by Beach Gal 123I am a big fan of Arrica Rose. With each album her music evolves to a higher level. I loved 'La La Lost'
but 'Pretend I'm Fur' takes her music to another level. A cross between Cat Power and The Weepies with a pinch more electronic thrown in and you have Arrica Rose going into new uncharted territory ... but she always does. She's not afraid to take risks and always is original with her music. On this album another fabulous cover, Tragedy (Bee Gees) is as powerful as her last one on La La Lost -'Hope You Don't Fall In Love With Me' (Tom Waitts). But for me the 2 shining stars on this album is the heart-wrenching but ever-so-hopeful, 'Pillow On The Ground' and the empowering
music and lyrics in 'Be.' Her lyrics and melodies will get stuck in your head after 2 plays and I've probably hit
20 on each one.

Arrica Rose has danced her listeners through a variety of singer/songwriter venues, always with thoughtful and haunting lyrics and melodies, (not to mention her considerable musical charisma). This album of original tunes is bolstered by a cover of "Tragedy", that no doubt would put a smile on any Gibb who listens.
I especially love "Be" and "I'll love You Forever & Other Lies......Thanks Arrica!
