What the suit said
I've had a love/hate reaction to much of Anderszewski but this is quite a good recital. The tone, pacing, and recording are all tops. This recording makes the case for taking the man more seriously. He does make a few very minor gaffs but at least he had the guts to keep them in and not dub them over. It shows a reverance for the music and not his ego. I'd get this even if it sold for nine bucks.
Old school muscular romantic piano playing at its best
What a surprise for me. I had never heard of Anderszewski until I saw him in the new releases section of iTunes. The Schumann Faschingsschwank Aus Wien Op. 26 alone is worth the price of the album. Crank up the volume when you listen to it. WIsh I had been there when they recorded the concert.
