by LIGHTSPEED! on MyspaceCURIOUS' "Something Worth Fighting For" is like a nicely crafted samurai sword. Technically flawless in it's delivery and it was without a doubt carefully re-honed until perfected. All 12 tracks get your blood pumping without being too overbearing as well as allow the listener to dwell within one's inner sanctum without getting overwhelmed in the emotional moment. The lead singer clearly carries the tempo of each track skillfully blending in the other elements of the sound. The guitar and drum interplay perfectly complement her strong yet modulated voice. This CD is a gem. I commute on a crotchrocket and listen to a variety of genres. Guess what? The song "Going for a Ride" is great for putting me in the zone for a spirited ride to work.
Finally, since the music was meticulously done without being heavily shifted towards specific elements, it will definitely stand the test of time. I can see myself years from now still listening to this as if it had just been freshly released.
Pop Rock Tour De Force To Be Reckoned With
by HiddenSanctuaryThe lovely singer whose moniker is "Curious" does anything but leave the listener baffled. On "Something Worth Fighting For," the track "If I" opens like a wonderful nod to the day when female rockers were taking over the airwaves to show the boys how it is done. This particular track is infectiously foot tapping and defies the listener to sit still through its duration. Throughout this 12 track gem, Curious takes us throught he paces with bouncey songs, heartfelt emotive songs, songs of ponderance and questioning, Whether one is enjoying the uptempo rock tracks or one of the more somber tracks, rest assured, the most expertly honed bunch of musicians are keeping time and pace with our chanteuse. (Major kudos to the guitarists and drummer!)
If you want something for a long drive down the highway, particularly the highway of life, look no further than here.
