Amazing Debut Album!
     

Let me first start off by saying that I have never heard of this band until today, and bought this album without hearing anything else except for "Under Control". Risky, I know, but it paid off - bigtime. This debut album is just so sensational, and each one of the songs presents something new. I REALLY hope to hear more of Parachute in the future and recommend this album to EVERYONE. And it's only $6.99! Come on! Click Buy Album. You know you want to.

A Great Addition to the Summer Soundtrack
     

You just can't go wrong with this band. The vocals are dead on, and the entire album flows brilliantly. While the melodies are mostly piano driven, they're not overbearing and have a Ben Folds sound to them at times. "She is Love" is definitely the highlight of the album, with two versions of the song featured. If anything else, get "Under Control." It's a free single this week, and it doesn't hurt that the album is only $7.

The kind of album that can make a hyperactive teenage girl want to scream her face off.
     

I LOVE PARACHUTE! Ohhhh gosh. I was introduced by a friend that wouldn't shut up about how amazing "Under Control" was as the single of the week, so I finally listened to it and bought the album like SNAP. Let's see..."All That I Am"...bit of a forgettable chorus, but all the same wicked. "Back Again" is wickedness. Catchy, catchy. I like how Will's voice sounds in this. Very...rolling? Hrm. Can't find the word. Ohwell. "She (For Liz)" is extremely relatable, guy or girl. Because we've all experienced something like this. Whoever Liz is, she has the SAWEETEST song written about her. I love this songggg!! "The Mess I Made"...is totally relatable too. And the chorus is fun to sing along with, even if you're crying when you sing it. It's seriously melodic. *love* "She Is Love" is...good. Okay, more like AMAZING, but yeahhh. Just a beauuutiful song. Believe the hype, people. And the video makes me want to cry. "Ghost." OMG!!!!!! BEST. STALKER. SONG. EVER. Seriously, it's half-hilarious/half-incredible. The musical aspect of it is dreamy. Totally stuck-in-your-head-able. But the lyrics are the highlight of this. Because this is, without a doubt, written about a stalking experience. Or, rather, imagining a stalking experience. "Keep you room locked, and leave the blinds closed, I'm right there staring at your window..." LOLz. I mean seriously, and it's like, THE GUY WANTS TO BE DEAD. Honestly, not even Flight of the Conchords (*love*) can reach that level of brilliance. I'm srsly stunned. Yeah, "Under Control"...it's Good. Better than Okay, and almost at Very Good, but eh, not quite. Let's just say it's no "Ghost." xDD I'd probably say my least favorite on the album. But considering my least favorite is also amazing, that just proves why you should buy this. "Blame It On Me"...I'd go with WICKEDDD again. Again, I like how Will sounds on this. Powerful. "Words Meet Heartbeats" is supercatchy, and it's just awesome. When I hear it, I want to take a hairbrush and jump on my bed and sing. "The New Year" is a wonderful song, and it's educational. It taught me how many days are in an almost-year. "She Is Love (Full Band Version)" has more instruments in it *shock* than the original. So...I like it better. If you want the stripped-down, acoustic-er version, go with the first one. But if you're like me, and sometimes just LOVE the overproduced studio sounds, then I'd say Full Band Version. And the bonus track...it's a bonus. It's like when you bite into one of those log-shaped donuts expecting it to be plain but it has bavarian creme in it, you know? So yeah, I'm comparing "Strange World" to bavarian creme. Bavarian creme = melt-in-your-mouth/droolworthy goodness. So..."Strange World" = melt-in-your-mouth/droolworthy goodness. Which didn't quite make sense. Oh well. But I love it! It has a powercatchy chorus, and then, it's just like "Got me livin' in a Strange World, Strange World, Strange World..." which REALLY gets stuck in my head. And that's good on this album. I get giddy when Parachute songs get stuck in my head. xD And the Digital Booklet! Why doesn't anyone ever review these? :( Anyway, I LOVE IT. The guys are superincredible looking (yes, I'm a girl, in case you haven't figured it out yet) and the image quality of it is perfecto! Kind of rustic, etc. I love the album art. That looks like a pretty sweet rollercoaster. Yeahhhh...it's pretty much my favorite digital booklet EVRR. And I have almost a gazillion, so...yeah. DEFINITE DOWNLOADS: "She (For Liz)"..."The Mess I Made"..."She Is Love" (either one)...GHOST. DEFDEF GHOST. And pretty much the whole album. For seven bucks? Seriously. This thing is worth more than magic beans. But when iTunes raises the price to $9.99 (prolly within the next month, is my guess), buy it anyway. It's not a decision you could possibly regret. Unless you don't like it, but that seems pretty unfathomable. I LOVE PARACHUTE!! <3
