Real Rock Again!
by Twe1veI heard the single "I Get Off," and was intrigued enough to take a listen on iTunes. I previewed each song, and almost didn't buy the album because they all sounded sort of similar. But that single kept digging at me, so I finally bought it.
That was one of the best musical decisions I've made in awhile. Halestorm's album delivers from track 1 through track 11. Unfortunately I didn't get the Bonus edition with three other songs. I'm trying to figure out how to get it now, without buying the whole album again.
Halestorm is a great band with real instrument sound and good flow from song to song. Whoever produced this album did a great job. The lyrics are pretty good, but the music itself is what listeners should buy this album for. The vocals are strong and have good range. In my opinion, Lizzy sounds heavily influenced by Lita Ford. The instrumentals remind me of a lite version of Skid Row. I know that sounds right, but if you listen to the underlying tones, that's what I think of.
Anyway, I can't wait to hear more from this band. I did take a listen to their other album on iTunes, which is from their very beginning days (I think Lizzy was 13, maybe?). I couldn't bring mysrelf to buy it. It's not that it was bad, but it's not what I like this band for.

Damn good
by mirisjI love this album. I think Halestorm has put out an excellent album here. Definitely reminiscent of old-school Heart, mixed with a bit of an edge.
