iTunes Review

On Adventures In Eville, Eleventyseven pursue their fusion of frothy sounds, wacky sci-fi imagery, and underlying Christian faith in typically relentless fashion. The South Carolina trio doesn’t slow down an iota on their third album as they continue to pitch their music squarely at teenaged believers. Singer Matthew Langston manages to sound cheeky, giddy and sincere all at once, making even his goofiest lyric scenarios seem like more than mere silliness. Case in point: “Evil Genius,” an eruption of power-pop exuberance spurred on by a galloping beat and gurgling synthesizers. Equally energizing are “Trying’” (an upbeat motivational anthem) and “Prom Night” (a high-gloss snapshot of Senior Year romance). The band reaches for a wider perspective on “Back When We Were Kids” and “End of Time,” though deep ruminations aren’t their strongest suit. “Nightmare” — a song about a girl or, possibly, God — adds some welcome guitar crunch to the trio’s frenetic attack.

Eleventyseven has done it again!, this new album is their best so far i.m.h.o. The tunes are not only catchy but the lyrics are excellent, more mature and at the same time fun to sing along to. I first heard their song "Try" on The Effect radio and I immediately found myself bobbing my head to this awesome song, I decided to buy that song only but I couldn't resist myself and had to buy the rest of the album after listening to the song several times and I am happy I did!, this record is HIGHLY recommended for anyone who enjoys good electronic music with a very relevant and eternal message!.

Whoa!

I bought this CD taking a chance, I loved "Evil Genius" and just whoa, I'm so glad I bought it! I love every song, most of them you don't even have to listen twice to say, 'I like that song!'. It seems not many people like "Redeem the Scene", "Prom Song" or "Back When We Were Kids", but I'd have to say those are some of the best on the CD! :D
