Mariah's career is DEAD!

I have to admit that this song in its originally released from is modestly catchy. Beyond that: Ladies and Gentlemen- May I present the ever deteriorating voice of the once vocally talented bobble-head whose marketability as an 'artist' has ceased to exist. Now relying on home grown talent to bring us hooks with the complex stylings of after school singalongs, this once-upon-a-time astonishing talent surrendered the rights to anything close to what might be considered professional decision making to Mottola in the divorce. Today I heard "We Belong Together" and sadly reminisced about how she actually used to sing her songs and didn't use autotune. This is especially funny because when that song came back a lot of people, myself included, clamored on about how she just couldn't whip out those notes with as much clarity or punch.
Now, the issue of this Gucci Mane character. I suppose you have to be involved with the rap world in a fashion far more intimate than me to know who this is, but I promise you, the application of grunts, coos, and sighs in rhythmic patterns in between Mariah's pauses is wasteful, insulting, and unintelligent--Most of all--IT'S NOT A REMIX!
Mariah's image has now become literally steeped in overt sexuality. Women have been fighting for the right to be seen independent of men, and she just can't wait to sell her overwrought sexed out image to America's youth. Just remember, if you're a woman and this image appeals to you: Think about it. You might just be helping men put a collar on you-- You might just wanna fasten it yourself.

THIS IS THE REMIX!!!

I'm obsessed with this song!!! The original is a banga and now the remix just gives us a new twist on an already amazing song. Gucci Mane really adds some edge...I love it! I'm getting the new album...I can't wait!!!

Gucci and Mariah go back like Oscar Meyer...

Mariah Carey is no stranger to offering a new take of one of her songs. In fact, it was Carey who pioneered the Rap/Sung collaboration when she enlisted Ol' Dirty Bastard to assist her on the Bad Boy remix to her #1 hit "Fantasy" back in 1995. So, it should come as no surprise that Mariah called on Gucci Mane to appear on the remix to "Obsessed," the lead single from her forthcoming album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. The remix, which reportedly has its own video apart from the original, gives the song an even sharper edge and is sure to keep you movin' all summer long.

The year 2005 was like yin and yang for Atlanta bling rapper Gucci Mane. Before his career as a rapper, Gucci Mane, whose birth name is Radric Davis, loved to write poetry when he was in elementary school.
