This is BIGGER THAN SHARK WEEK!
Best album of the summer.
I am not exaggerating when I say this might be one of the best pop albums of the decade.
Seriously.
Favorite Record of the Year
This is easily my favorite record of the year at this point. This band rose above and beyond my expectations (and the bar was set very high for them) to create an incredible first record. I really hope this is the first of many. Check out "All The Pretty Girls", "Be Calm", "The Gambler" and "I Wanna Be The One."
Singer Nate Ruess, formerly of The Format, has never sounded better. His voice is incredible on this record, and you get the overall feeling that he is uplifted and happier than he was when recording The Format records. The lyrics are genuine and positive, and the melody makes you want to get up and dance. Jack Antonoff from Steel Train (another underrated and incredible band), really adds a lot on guitar and I'm extremely excited to see him in action live playing this record.
You will not regret your decision to check this record out. I honestly do not understand how anyone could overlook it.
