The Most Honest Worship Album Ever...
"The Hope That Lies In You" is the long-awaited follow-up to their debut album, "Tonight The Stars Speak". You'll find a bit of a harder edge on this album, but an even more organic sound than their first album. The Glorious Unseen have a natural way of expressing their heart in worship in an honest and real way, and it has never sounded better.
The front half of the record is loaded with radio-ready songs, including a beautiful cover of John Mark McMillan's "How He Loves". Heavyhearted, the band's first single is another standout track that refers to God's grace as "sunlight gracing the land". "We Can Be Renewed" is another standout track that Ben wrote for his wife and reminds us of the beauty in renewal.
The second half of the record is where The Glorious Unseen really comes alive. Tracks 10-13 include a choir as well as guest vocals from Janell Belcher from The Ember Days. My favorite songs are the title track as well as "Sweet, Sweet Sound".
Overall, this is the best $7.99 you'll spend in the iTunes store. Ben's heart is very honest and it leads us all to an intimate place of worship. I highly recommend this album!

waited up for this, and i am glad i did. the glorious unseen do it again. deep, passionate worship at its finest. bravo.
Worship at its peak
This cd is so incredible even just at its first glimpse. There are a couple of covers which are done very well. Be Thou My Vision is simply an excellent example of how the old can be made new again. Although I really enjoyed the previous cd they over used the tremolo just a tad. This cd does not contain that error. Ben Crist has taken worship in a new approach. This has given to us a sprawling and epic atmosphere in which to worship our Saviour and Lord. It feels to me as though The Glorious Unseen have grown musically. Highly recommend!
