Already known for its boldness, the David Crowder Band takes a quantum leap forward with Church Music. In both concept and realization this album stands out from typical worship music releases. Carefully sequencing its tracks to achieve a seamless flow, Crowder and his bandmates touch upon a variety of modern techno-dance styles with nods towards Beatlesque pop and hard rock along the way. Tingling synthesizers and multi-layered beats drive home the reverent content of tracks like “The Nearness,” “The Veil” and “Church Music – Dance (!)” with palpable urgency. Muscular, metal-tinged tunes like “God Almighty” contrast with the jubilant Britpop of “Birmingham (We Are Safe)” and the gossamer-draped electronica of “Eastern Hymn.” Amidst the abundance of sweat-raising grooves found here, some of Church Music’s most affecting moments come during contemplative ballads like “We Are Loved” and “All Around Me.” Church Music is a genuine tour de force, taking praise music to a heightened level even as it smolders with dance-floor fervor.

by J SambiniIn my opinion, the music that DCB has put out since 'A Collision' was good, but in no way comparable in excellence. That is . . . until I purchased their newest album 'Church Music'. This is a phenomenal album. I was skeptical at first, but the this is intricate and beautiful music that builds and builds and by track 11 you cannot help but shout, dance, and sing. Finally I feel that David Crowder Band is producing INCREDIBLE music again. 'A Collision' is still probably my favorite album of theirs, but this is a very, very close second. Great job guys! By the way, the previews that allow you to sample the music online simply do not do the music justice.
This is incredible
by ifiok25This is the first DCB album I've ever bought. I was swayed by all the positive reviews. I went to lifeway yesterday and it was only $7.99 (no knock on iTunes). So I bought it though I wasn't planning on getting it. This music is amazing. I just love how the music doesn't stop. The transitions from song to song are seamless. It all flows together. I'm just immersed in the music. I love all the songs just the first time running through it. DCB is my new favorite band. Blessings to all who listen. I can't believe I waited so long to get this. I'm glad I chose to get it.
Very Good Songs
by Great 5 stars!!!!!I love it when people produce good religious songs. But this album is not good, it is great, no awsome. When I first listened to the previews for all the songs on the album I was shock at how new and in style the songs were. I extremly recomend this album for anybody, it really doesn't matter if you believe in God or not. Just the quality of the songs is very good, I mean awsome. So just get it!!!!!!
