I'm feeling it Kj52 you have rocked it with 52 Television

I have always liked Kj52 what's not to like really a great personality. I have only bought one of his albums and purchased a song here or there to my liking. But Five Two Television I'm feeling all the way through it's the sound I've always wanted Kj to do. A complete rap album from start to finish very well done now I have two complete albums of yours. Mixed very well and sounds great from start to finish. Kj you have finally rocked it buddy 52 Television will be your bigest ever because I'm feeling it oh yea. Those who are skeptical so was I but Kj has rocked it with 52 Television a must have for every rap fan.

Tune in to KJ-52

Veteran, extraordinaire, Christian hip-hop pioneer all describe BEC Recordings' KJ-52 as he ventures into more uncharted territory with "Five-Two Television". As one of his most ambitious projects of his career, this project dives into the cultural influences and media-drenched ideas that individuals are exposed to on a daily basis.

The album opens the gate with a fun “Intro” and launches into “Adventures Of Tweezyman,” a classic whimsical KJ track filled with humor. The album quickly switches gears to the serious side of things with “End Of My Rope.” The song is filled with good beats, a catchy chorus, and a message about letting the Lord handle things for us when times are too hard for us to handle. The lyrics of “Destroy my world and take me, past the end of my rope break me” make his point very clear. The album continues throughout to have a more sober and reflective tenor than most of KJ’s past work; he is less lighthearted and funny and more serious.

Five-Two Television also contains a lot of 'Co-Stars' joining up with KJ to make some solid tunes. Theory Hazit, Trevor McNevan from TFK, Group 1 Crew, and Da T.R.U.T.H all collaborate with KJ to deliver great tracks. Each song blends hip-hop and the style of the guest artist to make a wonderful blend of sounds. It's your call on songs like “Calling You” featuring JR or “Help Me Change” with Rob Beckley from Pillar. Genre-dipping is found all over the album.

Particularly interesting is KJ's pairing with one of Puerto Rico's most recognizable christian reggaeton ministers, Funky, who has quite a following and is a star in his own right. Funky is a very visible artist and producer who's traveled the US, Latin America and Europe and his music is well accepted and RESPECTED internationally. This is the second time KJ-52 (first time was on the KJ-52 : Remixed album, Jesus [Reggaeton Remix] track) teams up with Funky (real name: Luis Marrero) and there is no sophomore jinx here. Along with DJ Morph's animation (who also happens to be Funky's DJ), this song is a straight Spanglish banger.

The album does have a few fillers like “Let It Go” and “Shake It Off,” which are standard Five-Two listens and make the album nice, but the best stuff available comes at the very end of your "TV viewing" day. “Broken People” begins with a piano intro and KJ doing some nice singing. It's a story-telling track about people who make bad choices and disregard the strong need for God that we all have in our lives. Concluding this stellar effort is “Dear God,” which can only be described as raw, deep, and emotional. If you ever had one of those moments where you are crying out to God for all of those answers in life that we usually don’t always find but long to hear (and we all have those), then this song is for you.

Overall it's a solid release and there is no reason for anyone to not pick it up.

WOW!!!!!!! : ]

i have to admit, kj's last albums have been a bit disapointing, but this one is GREAT! i love it kj! keep it up!

Biography

Genre: Christian & Gospel

Years Active: '00s

Raised in a rough-and-tumble suburb of Tampa, FL, KJ-52 (real name: Jonah Sorrentino) was the product of a broken home, and eventually found himself mixed up in drugs, drinking, and chasing skirts. At 15 a family member challenged him to take up Christ, and being born again gave him the strength to move on. But rather than give up hip-hop and its tacit endorsement of sin, KJ poured his faith into his hip-hop. Even his name was a devotional. "KJ" was an abbreviation of his old rap name, but "52" (pronounced...
