iTunes Review
Weezer's debut proved that the '90s alt-rock boom had considerably more going for it than Nirvana and other benefactors of Seattle scene hype. Indeed, fueled by a geek-appeal that was refreshingly organic, Rivers Cuomo and company delivered one of the decade's most assured debuts here. While so much of the decade's music revolved around specious angst and cheap intellectual irony, Cuomo's songs often had an insouciant charm that seemed equally rooted in '70s arena rock and '80s new wave, yielding the infectious singles in "Buddy Holly," "Undone (The Sweater Song)," and "Say It Ain't So." The band's easy way with melodies and hooks are also showcased on the standouts "In the Garage," "Surf Wax America," and "The World Has Turned and Left Me"-filled with one of the charms generally in short supply during the era: genuine innocence.

What an Album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by Mick JackersTHis has to be one of my favorite albums of all time. The acoustic guitar is insane in my "MY Name is Jonas." The heavy and acoustic guitar in " The World Has Turned and Left Me Here" makes an amazing tune. "Buddy Holly": One word: Phenomenal. Undone (The Sweater Song) is so different that it makes it extremely good. "Say It Ain't So" has the beauty of starting with clean guitar and then turning it into a heavier tune. "In the Garage" has the some beautiful acoustic guitar to start and then gets more heavy. The Blue Album is a must have for an 90's Alt Rock Fans
Amazing
by Theone12121314Alright, so when I first started listening to weezer, I thought "Ok, they are an ok band, but nothing really special", Boy was I wrong. Back then I only heard their radio hits like "Island in the Sun", "Buddy Holly", and "Pork and Beans", but I never took the time to listen to a whole album by them. Well I was look around Itunes for some new music, and I figured "Why not by Weezer's first?", and from my first playthrough, I was hooked! Every song has something unique to it, From No One Else's catchy lyrics and great chorus, to Surf Wax America's rock-out mood and awesome hook, to finally ending it offf with Only in Dreams, which perhaps has one of the greatest build-ups of all time, plus beautiful lyrics, this album is just about one of the greatest albums of the 90s, being right up there with Nirvava's Nevermind! So if your looking for a album that is catchy but meaningful and non-filler, then click "Buy Album" right now! (Btw I am only 14 :)
This is weezer's best album by a landslide, so thats what, 10 landslides in all?
by celstickI have always been a fan of Weezer, and i always will be. It all started out when i heard my name is jonas on guitar hero 2. I wouldn't say its the best song on the album, but its pretty high up there. So these are my ratings:
1.Buddy Holly - A fast, catchy, and overall, the best song on the album
2.Say it Ain't so - probably their most famous song, mostly due to its release on rock band, but, who can resist screaming "SAY IT AINT SO OH WOW OH WOW"
3.Only in dreams - definitely the best bass line ive ever heard, and still my favorite guitar solo by them.
4. Undone - this is where it all started, definitely a really catchy chorus, after listening to it once, i found myself singing it in the shower.
5. My name is jonas - this is a success and failure at the same time. it was supposed to be sad song, but i just find it as an upbeat song.
6.No one else - i dont know why this song appealed to me, it just felt like a heart beat to me, i know im weird, but the song is just so catchy.
7.the world has turned and left me here - from the intro to the bitter end, i found my self feeling like it was about me.
8.in the garage - i know its a great song, just the solo messes it up, but, it still can make you bob your head.
9.surf wax america - i have a problem rating this so low, i love the song, but i love the first 8 better. such and upbeat song, itll make you smile.
10. holiday - the only reason its last, is i dont like the heeeaaart beeaaat thing, just awkward.
