Great soundtrack; captures Middle-Earth brilliantly!

by DGConley

I was thrilled to find this album on iTunes; I'd had the CD for years and it was scratched, scuffed, etc. Anyways, I'm a long-time fantasy fan, gamer, Ren-Faire performer, swordwork instructor... the list goes on; Arkenstone brilliantly captures not only a wonderful feel of Middle-Earth, but as a general fantasy sountrack, this can't be beat.

The tracks vary wildly in scope from pulse-pounding ("The Quest", "Riders of Rohan") to beautiful ("Lothlorien", "Arwen and Aragorn") to dark ("Moria", "The Palantir") to simple adventure! ("The Road to Rivendell", "The Field of Cormallen").

Simply, there's something for everyone on this album and I highly, HIGHLY recommend it to any fan of this genre.

Incredibly good!

I've searched all over for music that is worthy of the LoTR name, and with this album I finally have found it. Truly extraordinary, professionally done (unlike so many other LoTR-inspired albums which sound like they were recorded in somebody's basement), and quite varied. I would rank the music here on the same level of grandeur as the Howard Shore score for the LoTR trilogy movies. It's that good.

Beautiful

I've always been a huge lover of music inspired by Lord of the Rings, the Simarillion, etc, and this album exceeds my expectations. My personal favorites are 'The Road to Rivendell' and 'Lothlorien.' They fit well while I'm reading the series, and I've really enjoyed this. Buy it, if you can afford it.
