Album Review

The opening instrumental "Rule #76" doesn't bode well for Amber Pacific's second album; its epic keyboard swells forecast a self-important faux maturity of the type that's usually the death of a pop band. However, that leaves directly into the catchy pop-punk of "Summer (In B)" and the ultra-bouncy positivity of "Temporary," so Amber Pacific clearly haven't yet fallen into that particular trap. Overall, in fact, Truth in Sincerity is as straightforward a pop-emo album as The Possibility and the Promise, with the same unfailingly posi vibe in Matt Young's lyrics.

Amazing.....and Reviews of The Songs

This Album is Great....Way Better than the Possibility and the Promise. Here are my views on the songs....1's-5's

Rule #76: 4 out of 5. I Like the only Instrumental things they did....but the song wasn't great
Summer (In B): 4 out of 5. Personally, Dango, Was way too fast and it offset the song quite a bit.
Temporary: 5 out of 5. Tied for 1st Place with 3 other Songs. This is Great. and Sends out a Great Message.
You're Only Young Once: 5 out of 5. When I First got it when it was just a single release. i automatically liked the song. It sounds great. and sticks to their old sound
Living Proof: 4 out of 5. Not too big on this song...but it still has a great sound for it.
Follow Your Dreams, Forget the Scene: 5 out of 5. Great song with amazing sound..but i think that a bass solo would've done great in it
Take Me from this Place: 4 out of 5. Too Much Like "If I Fall" which wasn't that great of a song
Fall Back Into My Life: 5 out of 5. This is one of the songs tied with Temporary. When i got this from the TMNT Soundtrack. I thought it was great..saddly enough to say though to all you super fans. that is the first time i ever heard Amber Pacific
We Think We're Hardcore, Cause Well, We Are: 5 out of 5. tied for first again. plus the sound is amazing and the name is hilarious but oh so true
Runaway: 5 out of 5: Great Song...Sounds Fantastic and Mike Herrera was a great addition. MXPX is freakin awesome
Watching Over Me: 4 out of 5. Not Fantastic....But okay sound. enough for a 4
Dear___, This Has Always Been About Standing Up For Yourself. The other song tied for first....great song.....great solos...and the Grand Pause was freaking amazing..

I give no reviews for the acoustics because they're 2 acoustics of songs that were already 5's on my review of Possibility and the Promise. read that and u'll know.

A thing of beauty

Their new album sticks to their old sound, which is amazing, because I loved their last CD. I can not name one song on the cd that was bad. I loved every one. I dont know what els to say, this album is great and if you like Amber Pacific or just rock in general, I highly recommend this CD. I would also like to add that I am the first person to review, so that is pretty exciting!

Biography

Formed: 2002 in Seattle, WA

Genre: Alternative

Years Active: '00s

Seattle-based Amber Pacific first formed in 2002 as Follow Through while the guys were still juniors in high school. Hopeless Records heard some of the band's initial recordings and signed them up, and the combo made its debut as Amber Pacific in May 2004 with the Fading Days EP. The sound was urgent, slick punk-pop in the vein of Story of the Year, the Audition, and the All-American Rejects. Amber Pacific worked hard in the summer that followed, honing their skills as a touring band with dates on...
