by james_in_viennaand wir sind helden's version is a bazillion times better than this POS "+44" garbage. wow a name that's a number? real original. but still more original than the music, which is so unbearably terrible as to be beyond words.
wir sind helden, on the other hand, has gotten pretty damn good with age, and the latest album (soundso) is awesome.. which people here can find out when itunes USA finally gets it.
BTW thanks murphy for the wonderful explanation, which neither changes the fact that the band is boring, mediocre tripe nor the fact that the name is unoriginal. the international dialing code? yeah, awesome. i bet they can't wait until people ask them where they got their name so they can name-drop london as if it were some exotic locale.

by DANBrittI absolutely loved the idea of a foreign exchange. Wir Sind Helden's take on When Your Heart Stops Beating is very different from the original sound, but it's really cool. The only flaw that I noticed was that even with the language barrier, the original words were changed a lot. That is, it was not translated into German very well at all. However, great song and I'm soo glad that +44 and Wir Sind Helden were the first bands to do this. I hope that it continues.
