Perfect!
by seekingbigtunaPerfect trombone playing, without a doubt. Congratulations, Mr. Pugh, and thanks for all the inspiration. The orchestra, too, is swingin'!
Do your homework!
by Basie FanIt is obvious that no one at iTunes listened to this recording. This is an album of contemporary classical music--specifically trombone concerti incorporating contemporary styles (thus the play-on-words title of "cross-over" trombone). The fact that there are no lyrics should have been the first clue. If not that, one could easily find out that James Pugh is the former lead trombone with the Woody Herman Band and Jeff Tyzik is one of the most successful Pops Concert conductor-composers in the business. Wise up, iTunes and remove the "explicit" label!
