This EP is sweet...

Who are Free the Robots? Where did they come from? And when did the robots become enslaved?

Seriously though if you are into stuff like RJD2, Amon Tobin, Kid Koala, Mix Master Mike, and the rest of the like you will love Free The Robots. The album is full of mellow back-beats, long breaks, and aggressive turntablism all put together into a delicious wall of sound for your ears.

Who ever "Free the Robots" is you should definitely give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

It Really Kept Me Hooked

iTunes Genius mentioned this album because I had DJ Shadow in my library. Thank God. As Soon as Diary started playing, I already anjoyed this album. I can't believe this guy could fuse Jazz and underground beats, and make the combination sound actually GOOD. I never thought you could fit a breakbeat into a jazz song until now. The only downside to this album is the the songs seem to just end out of nowhere, there is no real finish to the songs.

My favorites are:
-Lonely Traveler, which can fit a good beat into a slow hotel-type of song
-Session Two, which sounds like a straight up jazz song with a hyped up drum beat.

All in all, This album is definitely worth the purchase.
