Great song choice, Great cause, etc.

You got M. Ward, Beirut, Tokyo Police Club, and others all on one album going to a great cause? Why haven't you bought it yet?!?!

And for those who are displeased at the title for Beirut's track, have you even listened to the song? The song itself is hardly lewd or crude at all, so don't point fingers saying "THIS SONG DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE USED". These songs weren't made for FINCA specifically, but they're quality tracks either way. If you're still hung up over "My Night With the Prostitute from Marseille", then why aren't you complaining about Sean Hayes' track, "Turnaroundturnmeon"? I'm guessing because the moment you saw the word prostitute you had to write an angry review and rant about it.

Too Much

I've got a great idea get all the famous people in the world to organize a charity to stop the world from spinning so that the sune will never set on third world countries. Who could we get Bono, Eddie Vedder, Al Gore, Arnold Swcharzenager, and Sting. Where is the imix for Appalachia, inner city New York, Compton, and so on. Oh wait they aren't in fashion at the moment. It took a hurricane to show the world what the poverty level in New Orleans was really like. So spare me the bs. Philantropy is just another name for looking good in the lime light.

I love this album...

I bought this album to support a wonderful cause, FINCA, the internationally renowned micro-loan program which won the Nobel Peace prize a few years ago. I was delighted to find that this compilation is full of GREAT songs that I listen to all the time. A review I saw online sneered about the "singer-songwriter" musical sensibility: don't be fooled! This is a beautifully produced, heartfelt album full of listening pleasure. And it really does support a great cause.
