songs are good
by MoIqbalsongs are really good, acoustically puts you in the theatre (if you have good sound quality). It opens the world audience to Afghan classical music of the 60s and 70s. The movie (The Kite Runner) on the other hand was filled with a lot of false information and portrays Afghan society as somehow beneficial to one group. Khaled Hosseini has capitalized on the generous and good hearts of the western public to benefit his pocket. I wish these beautiful songs weren't associated with this propaganda movie. But do purchase these songs, it benefits Afghan musicians and artists...
movie vs. book
by afgangelthe book maybe only a piece of what afghanistan is going though. atleast it opens peoples eyes to find out more. the m ovie brings it to life and i was so excited when the movie was out and people can actually see what myh country is going though. i just hope that they make the second book a movie. and the funny thing was that they actually put 2 great afghan singers in the soun dtrack. That was awesome
Help me find a song!
by JeshideThis was a deeply moving story both book and film. But I need to find this song that I don't think is on this album. It is the song that is playing in the back ground after Amir Jon has rescued the boy and he thought he lost him in the city and when he finds him on the stairs, the boy talks about being dirty and not wanting his parents to see him.
