Amazing sound for a little band

I Have Seen the Future of My Music Collection.... Sirsy
by Tony K 726I went to see one of my current fave bands, who were playing locally (Troy, NY) a few nights ago and was granted a music revelation that call themselves Sirsy. They opened for Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, and they blew me away. For only two people to create such a full, rich sound was incredible to say the least. The lead singer is Melanie Krahmer and she is nothing short of fantastic. I have no idea how I've been missing them, but it turns out they've released 5 CDs already, the latest of which is Revolution. Do yourself a favor and buy this CD! Do yourself a bigger favor and go see them if you ever get the chance. Terrific live performance of some very melodic and easy to listen to music. Krahmer is as good a vocalist as I've heard, transitioning seamlessly from sweet soulful sounds to smoky gravelly roadhouse rocker. Just a great band. I'd recommend this CD and all of their music highly. I haven't stopped listening for days now.
