Frankpollis EP
by SilvraOriginally I discovered Frankpollis because of their drummer - Jackson Pollis, who's somewhat known as a NY socialite of sorts (Think Edie Sedgewick for the new generation). I wasn't really expecting much out of their music, so it was a nice surprise to listen to them and get immediately hooked on the mellow but still rhythmic tunes Frankpollis is putting out. Their lead singer's voice is very diverse and capable, Jackson Pollis is amazing as their drummer, and they pull out just as equally amazing guitar features throughout the EP. Their sound is unique and completely different from anything thats circulating right now. While lately it seems that a lot of fast-paced, electronically oriented bands are blasting from the radios and televisions, Frankpollis is a welcome and extraordinarily talented change of pace. I wouldn't be surprised if this band got really big, but I kind of hope that they stay more low-key. I'd recommend Frankpollis to anyone who was looking for something different to listen to, and even more importantly, something /good/ to listen to.

If I was required to pick out a song that I disliked off the EP, I couldn’t. Frankpollis has created a sound so chill but rhythmically intense at the same time, that it's so undeniably new."
Basically, Frankpollis is awesome.
