Album Review

Apart from David Lowery's tendency to slip in some smug, self-serving lyrics, Cracker's debut is a terrific rock & roll record, full of energetic three-chord bashers and surprisingly moving ballads.

I was introduced to this album shortly after its release, and i immediately fell in love with it. David Lowery is a rather eclectic lyricist, and John Hickman is a soulful, vibrant guitarist... this and kerosene hat are classic... as for the rest of cracker's albums....

Just a timeless album. The lyrics are fantastic and the music keeps pace. A day doesn't go by that at least one Cracker song graces my ears.
