iTunes Review

Manafest (a.k.a. Chris Greenwood) may not be an arena-level act yet, but he does show signs of rising through the ranks on 2008’s Citizens Activ, his third album. This Canadian-based artist slings words with plenty of attitude, rapping with abandon without forgetting his faith. Manafest wears his party cheerleader hat comfortably, rousing his fellow believers with uplifting declarations like “4321” and “Live On.” Snapshots of his life as a touring performer enliven “Steppin Out,” underscored by hard-charging guitars. “So Beautiful” channels his brashness in a worshipful direction, while “Lean On Me” builds into a declaration of total spiritual need. For those wondering about his love life, there’s “Break Up,” a percolating tale of failed romance. The simmering R&B groove of “Good Day” and the slamming, muscular rock of “Kick It” (featuring Thousand Foot Krutch’s Trevor McNevan) add some welcome variety. What’s most pleasing about Citizens Activ is how Manafest’s assertive rhymes maintain their positive tone and never degenerate into arrogance. Watch out, tobyMac — a new contender may be gaining on you.

Awsome

Manafest has been to my church he is great at this stuff I think he'll be in the bigs leagues in a few months bur I've meet I'm in person he's a great guy I meet him when I was 12 or 13 I'm turning 14 so anyways god has put him on this earth because he has a purpose to be here gods got big plans for him. And this goes to all of the people each one of us has a destiny god gave us that destiny to get the message out to people who don't know god or Jesus. Or to become rich and give to the poor to help others in need but everyone was put on earth by god to change the world back to the godly way.

Hypocrites These Days

Starsurfer- Your a hypocrite. Look at the other albums you gave five stars. And to everyone else, yes Lecrae is good, but he's not reaching the skateboard kids. Guess who is? Manafest. Lecrae is pretty confined to church-going, perfect family people. His album is not for the one's who are really struggling. I have counseled people through suicide and such and here is a fact for you. The type of music that the Cross Movement brings and most of the Christian Rappers today only make a bad mood worse, although they are good for keeping your mood up when your in a good mood (sometimes). You see, Lecrae and all those other Christian rappers only talk about how God has changed them. Well, if your questioning why God isn't helping you and your listening to everything he has done for someone else, that is going to send you deeper into depression because you don't feel "worthy". So think a little harder before you criticize cats like Manafest. Or even Flo Rida. That's why God gave you a brain.

Beast!!!

His voice kinda sound like Kj-52 but uhhm he is way better he's actually a good lyricist. Alot of Christian rappers don't really have that talent they just figure it's a way to reach the younger generation and they go for it. This is acutally his gifting area and there are only a few so he is on my nice wit it list, lol.
