The Three Elite

by gforce821

These three super-heroes getting together for this album was truly amazing and inspiring. Never before do I believe I have heard a colaboration that was so close to being melodically perfect and pleasing the the auditory senses. Awesome couldn't even describe the brilliance. Ron Carter, Randy Jackson could round off another two geniuses that should be included in any future colaborations as far as bassist are concerned. Just put John Scofield, Billy Cobham, George Duke, Bobbi Humphrey, Tom Browne, Pamela Williams in a concert togehter and then let the great trubulation and Armagedden happen! Thinking of Wayman Tisdale!!!

SMV Thunder

Great bass work by great bass players. I saw SMV in concert before buying the album. The concert was unbelievable and the album just as great! While listening to the music (both live and on the album) I sometimes forgot it was a bass guitar handling most of the melody lines because it was so dynamic and smooth. Marcus is solid, Victor is energetic, and Stanley is just outright cool. My only (small) disappointment is that I would have liked to hear more upright bass on the album. This album is a 'must-have' for any serious bass player and/or serious musician in general. Happy listening!
