Album Review
With Matapedia, Kate & Anna McGarrigle return to their strengths by trimming back the synthesizers and sticking with direct, folky testaments. Occasionally, they augment their songs with worldbeat flourishes, but mainly the album sticks to folky introspection. While their skills have diminished slightly since their stellar debut, they remain evocative, challenging, fresh, and inspirational.

Introspective and tender
by Coral LoverIf you love Kate and Anna then you will love this. It is beautiful and wonderful to listen to alone or with the family. While mending a broken heart or feeling introspective yourself. I disagree with the Itune review about them having lost something since their debut. They are real, living their lives,maturing, and not afraid to share it. If you expect artists to always be the same then you should listen to pop music. Matapedia is one of my fave albums by them. A must have.
