Terrific Study

by faithfulmommy

I don't usually review bible studies. I usually just do my studies and go about my business. However, this day is different. I've been in this bible study for a few weeks now and I'm amazed at how much I've learned already. Esther is not the child's version I always thought it was! There is so much about this book that is applicable in today's life and times. For example - the most beautiful women were collected to Susa where they were pampered and the king selected one to make his queen. Um, hello?! We're doing that still today aren't we? Except now it's televised in shows like Momma's Boys and The Bachelor so that we can all watch the drama unfold.
Not only have I learned a substantial amount of biblical understanding that I've never known before but I've been brought to my knees a couple of times with convictions that are meant just for me. I'm positive that God has placed me in this study because He has lessons for ME. Maybe he has some for you as well. I hope you try the study and see if it speaks to you.

Rock on, Sis!

bethie:

I found you here the week "Esther" was first posted and was thrilled you had been welcomed into non-traditional territory for Christian authors. You know me: I've had a life with the likes of Nine Inch Nails, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Pearl Jam and KidneyThieves weaved all through it. Almost 200 concerts attended and damaged hearing as a testimony to them all. Yet, with your help, the Light of the World has now entered my own personal darkness.

There is no doubt our God is a consuming fire. As the greatest Potter of all, what He has accomplished with you as His jar of clay is truly astounding. What those who may have bashed you and "Esther" here can't know is how as your popularity has dramatically increased, you have grown more and more humble. You are the real deal, genuine to the core, without a motive in the world of selling a single piece of your own merchandise. All you've ever exhorted people to do was to study God's Word, the Bible. You've never once asked anyone to buy "your" stuff.

Also, if they go on YouTube or Google search articles about you, they will see you speak to your own trials and tribulations the most, never once condemning others for their mistakes. I have a great belief that if any will research you, open their minds enough to open their ears to this audio or any of your Audiobooks in iTunes, they have a great chance of having their hearts opened to the great news of Jesus the One and Only.

By the way, you'd be thrilled to know iTunes has introduced me to some very positive rock music influences, too: Decemberadio, Day of Fire, Fireflight, Decyfer Down, Pillar, Red, Worth Dying For ... and, of course, P.O.D. and tobyMac/dcTalk.

You are highly favored and greatly loved. You've answered His call to venture outside of your own personal comfort zone and are trusting God as He speeds along and you are white-knuckling it in His sidecar. Stay strong and be encouraged. The harvest is plentiful, yet the laborers few.
