More than a handful of cool covers
by UgonnaThis compilation definitely has some really good covers particularly, "Self Control" by The Bloodsugars and "Tainted Love" by My Brightest Diamond. "Self Control" sounds like an original because it's got that dance pop vibe that TBS are known for. Max Vernon's version of "I Kissed A Girl" starts off with a classical piano-esque intro and then eventually progresses into a synth pop rendition that more resembles the original. It's definitely one of the most clever covers on the compilation. But the Bloodsugars put the cherry on top of the cake with the Bonus Track "Lady in Red" originally by Chris de Burgh. TBS' lead singer has a soft smooth voice which really makes this old song something new. There are few misses on the album such as "Can't Tell Me Nothing" by Francis and The Lights and "We Didn't Start The Fire" by The Forms, but the gems on this album by far outshine the duds.

Now I'm not the only one!
by lukeskooksI LOVE this album, not only does it have some of the best indie artists out there, but they are covering the songs we are all scared to admit we like! I mean really, we all kind of like Katy Perry's I Kissed A Girl, and now we don't have to feel so guilty about it. Every song has an original take, my personal favorite is by the band Lowry and they cover Toto's hit song Africa, I can't get enough of that song! This album is absolutely worth a shot, if your in the mood for your favorite guilty pleasures, revamped!!
