First Coastal Church of Fun Pastor
by SurferinoThe soundtrack greatly improved a B film noir. The music made me feel the film's darkness, dissoluteness and depravity. This ain't high art. It's low art infused with brooding and bluesy desperation and longing. I dug it. Apt lyrics, great vocals, penetrating guitar licks, and the richness of New Orleans' musical heritage and style compelled me to buy the soundtrack.
Definitely original
by GaslighterWhen we saw the movie we decided to get the soundtrack. The music is some of the finest blues I've heard. "Blood on the Ground" by Richie Sambora and the title song by Solomon Burke are especially hard-edged. If you like your blues with a dark, deep color in them then this is the album for you. And see the uniquely different movie!
