One of the Best of the Year
by LwnasidhMcCoy's music combines the currency of Taylor Swift with both the classic Country sensibilities of Terri Clark and the rock twists of Sheryl Crow or Kelly Clarkson. While her sound isn't quite as harmonic as Swift, it carries a charm of its own, akin to the music of Jessica Andrews without being sound-a-like. Underlying all of the tracks is an emotional push from McCoy's voice, whether the joy of "Right Hand Ring" or the subtle melancholy of "Dandelion." A personal favorite is "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad," where she easily demonstrates what makes her stand out as a unique and relevant artist. The range of styles and sounds shows McCoy to be a talented songwriter, and versatile singer, with what will hopefully be a long and fruitful career ahead of her.

by califmusicThe album title is perfect. I mean, it really couldn't be more fitting. Her voice is sweet. Her words are sweet. Her cover of 2 out of 3 aint bad is well, it's sweet but with some real pain in there. And I really love that. That's what country music used to be about. I bought the cd too and it is really cool. Different looking from any other cd I've bought. So I feel it was more than worth the $.
I don't give 5 stars often but when I do I mean it. So take that for what it's worth. You'l end up telling everyone you know about this girl and you won't be able to get her songs out of your head.
