Rocks!!!!
by naturalmystic1I was born in Detroit and I love my rock n roll. Give me a psychedelic rock band with great songs and moody guitars and i'm a happy girl. Get Free by Devi does it for me. The band is tight, funky and the guitars are beautiful. I love the slide guitar in"C21....", the post Beatle lovliness of "When It Comes Down", and the moody blues of "Get Free". Devi have made a beautiful CD. Put it on, lay back and groove.

by Steve near SeattleGet Free is an album everyone needs to hear! The production is well done, allowing each song it's own, unique groove. The songs run the gamut from acoustic-based tunes like Howl At The Moon, to the lusty, rocking Demon In The Sack.
Deb has a mastery of her instrument that is all her own. She can play it straight on, such as the smooth cover of Runaway, haunting slide work on Welcome To The Boneyard, which was inspired by the events of 9/11, or soaring leads in songs like Get Free. Her vocals are top-notch, too!
Dan Grennes on bass and John Hummel on drums are the backbone of this trio, and a perfect fit with Deb. Did I mention these folks can jam?
The additional musicians and vocalists helping out really added some wonderful textures to these already fine songs!
All in all, this is a great CD that offers up something for everyone. Buy it, you won't regret it!
The real deal!
by drmaybeDebra and Devi are a breath of fresh air in a world of wannabes and clones... real, original rock music with a sound that's all their own. Even when performing a cover like "Runaway", the band puts their own powerful signature on the performance, and their original compositions burn with explosive energy. A highly recommended release from this free-spirited power trio!
