Electro to the Max!
by satamileToronto's Gregory De Rocher makes what people in the know call "real" electro. Anyone else can just call it block-rocking beats. Finding a home with the premier North American label of this classic sound, NYC's long-running Satamile, Lowfish utilizes the warm analog textures of dub and Detroit techno, surgically positioned over a framework of razor-sharp breakbeats. His fourth full-length, but first for such a significant label, Burn the Lights is in fact a dozen tracks culled from the last three years, and should vault Lowfish into the international elite of real electro producers since he's mastered a robotic sound that works equally well on the dance floor and off.
