iTunes Review
Carbon Leaf’s eighth release captures this tight and mature band in fine familiar form. The rhythm section is new since their last release but that hasn’t noticeably changed their sound as they continue to turn out rootsy, hook-based pop, packed with sing-a-long choruses and memorable melodies. Led by the clear and capable vocals of Barry Privett, the band offers a good selection of catchy tunes, with “Indecision,” “Miss Hollywood,” “X-Ray,” and “Meltdown” among the standouts. Their sound is built around the interplay between acoustic and electric guitars and they’ve added some keyboards, banjo, and accordion to help round things out. “Pink” includes some of the subtle Celtic trappings they've used in the past. Energetic and engaging, Nothing Rhymes with Woman should please Carbon Leaf’s many loyal fans.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this album!
by amberjcCarbon Leaf is, for me, one of those bands that can do no wrong. The writing is excellent, the music is wonderful, I love every song on this album!
Fantastic work!
by bellalouisaThese are real talented musicians, obviously the people who give it one star are not. I am a growing musician and can point out that they are a very successful band. Excellent work on this album. It is different but same sounding and just as enjoyable. I'm fifteen and Carbon Leaf still holds the 1st place in my top 5. :D
Give 'Woman' A Chance
by JBTunezDon't judge this album until you have played it at least several times. Listen to it. Read the lyrics, and listen to it again with the stories fresh in your mind.
There are several stand out tunes that will immediately grab you - for me it was 'Another Man's Woman' and 'Lake of Silver Bells'. Others slowly seep in, take hold and transport you to places like 'Mexico', or back to your childhood via 'X-Ray'. You want variety ? 'Pink' will touch your heart and 'Meltdown' will rock you to the core. Definitely worthy of hot rotation on your iPod.
